“US Youth
Soccer
Region III is proud to announce the formation of a new league and a new
opportunity for the Region III teams (U14, U15, U16 and U17 Boys and
Girls) to compete at the highest possible level
within Region III.
Starting
in the Fall of 2011 the best of the Premier League West and the
best of the
Premier League Central and the best of the Premier League East will meet
head
to head in a new region wide league.
This
new league pits the teams that have proven on the field that they are
the best
in their respective sub-regional Premier Leagues against each other on a
region
wide basis. This league will send teams forward into the Region III
National Cup Southern Regionals and will also be the source to
promote teams to
US Youth Soccer National League participation.
Invitations
for participation will be based off of the team’s finish in their
sub-regional
league play in the 2010-2011season.
The
Regional Premier League will play in a round robin format with a target
of ten
teams in each play group. Scheduling will target two games in a weekend
(one game per day) with sites selected with consideration of the cost of
travel
and quality of facilities.
While
nothing firm has been agreed to, other US Youth Soccer Regions expressed
an
interest in cross play between this Region III league and their
respective
Regional leagues.
Look
for more details coming soon.
Good
Luck,
US
Youth Soccer Region III Premier League”
